President Akuffo-Addo lifts restrictions on religious gatherings; service hours increased
The President of the republic of Ghana His Excellency, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has added an additional hour to the religious activities for churches and mosques in the country making it a total of two hours.
In consultation with the Ghana tourism Authority and the health expert ,I’m announcing the reopening of our nation’s tourist sites and attraction t receive function and the management of these facilities are tasked to enforce enhanced hygiene and social distancing protocols. beaches,pubs,cinemas,and nightclub,however remain closed until further notice.
The president made this known at the 14th broadcast on coronavirus in the country.
President Akufo-Addo disclosed the new directive takes effect from Saturday, August 1, 2020.
He expounded that this decision was taken as a result of the high level of adherence to the safety protocols particularly by the religious bodies.
