Nigerian musicians are thieves – Okyeame Quophi replies RudeBoy of P-Square

Okyeame Quophi, the other half of the defunct Ghanaian music duo Akyeame has described Nigerian musicians as thieves in his latest interview, can report.

RudeBoy, one half of now-defunct Nigerian Pop Music group P-Square last week in an interview lambasted Ghanaian musicians saying their low IQ is to blame for their inability to be smart in the industry.

He also said Ghanaian Musicians do not learn to churn out their original songs but like to copy others especially Nigerians

But responding to Rudeboy, Okyeame Quophi stressed that it is rather Nigerians who have come to steal the Ghanaian style of music and not the vice versa.

“For all you know, RudeBoy might have been a fan of Hip Hop and not other genres of music. However, the fact that he has gotten the opportunity to be interviewed on the issue does not mean he knows everything. The issue is what is the genre of music of Nigerians? He quizzed.

“They have stolen music from Congo, Ghana, Ivory Coast, South Africa and almost all African countries. They do not have their own”, Okyeame Quophi categorically stated in an interview with Kumasi based Sikka FM.

Okyeame Quophi further revealed that most of the greatest artistes Nigerians have had in past all learnt from Ghana.

“Even P Square themselves are Highlife artistes hence he cannot claim Ghanaian musicians are not smart or stealing from them.
