Speaking to Ghanaweb recently, Ofori Ampnsah insisted that Ghanaians should forget about his preaching career, since his ministry is to preach love to the world.
To him, there is no grey line between his character as a musician or a preacher, adding that his ministry as a man of God is to preach love through his music.
“My ministry is to sing, my ministry is to tell people love, to tell people that life is short. We need to do what we’ve got to do, he said. It’s not about preaching. Love thy neighbor as yourself. We should love. I don’t have to die before people celebrate me,” he lamented.
“That is my ministry, my ministry is to talk about love. Celebrate me when I am alive,” the musician expressed frustration.
The musician in his interaction bemoaned that, Ghanaians must desist from “pull him down” phenomenon and show love towards each other.
Fondly called “Pastor Alewa” who has come under several attacks for living a dual life said he is no longer bothered about what men say about him.
Ofori Ampnsah’s call comes on the back of the recent death of sensational dancehall artiste, Ebony in a gory accident.
The talented singer met her untimely death together with her bodyguard, and one of her closest friend, Fanky Kuri on Kumasi-Sunyani highway while returning to Accra from a private trip.
The sudden death of Ebony has left many Ghanaians both home and abroad terrified, with tributes pouring in from all corners of the world.
The late Ebony will be laid to final rest on March 17, 2018 in Accra.
