Bullet reveals why fans are charged for Ebony’s Tribute Show
He made this revelation on the back of some comments circulating in the public that he seeks to make profit from Ebony’s demise.
Bullet, some few days ago, slammed some Ghanaian musicians for wanting to cash in on their performance at Ebony’s one week tribute.
The musicians couldn’t fathom why they would perform for free when fees will be charged for fans attending the tribute program.
Reacting to this on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM, Bullet disclosed that “we are doing the concert to pay the final respect to her. We are laying a foundation for her. The concert is for her foundation launch. That’s why we are taking gate fee”, he said.
Asked to reveal names of the artistes seeking money to perform, member of the defunct Ruff and Smooth group said ‘after the show and funeral, I will do that. I don’t want to talk about it right now”.
He however condemned reports making rounds on social media that Dancehall act, Shatta Wale is part of the list of artistes demanding cash before they perform.
The Rufftown Records/Midas Touch Inc. event, comes off in partnership with the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA), Ghana Music Rights Organisation (GHAMRO), and the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture.
Singer, Ebony met her untimely death on February 8 in a car crush on the Kumasi – Sunyani road.
She is expected to dominate the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards night slated for April.
Her final funeral rights have been slated for Saturday March 24 at the forecourt of the State House.
