“Brothers in the game don’t vibe-says medikal.
Rapper Medikal says one of the challenges facing the Ghanaian music industry is lack of unity among artistes.
According to him, before he attained the limelight, he thought musicians across the country were unified until he realized it was all an illusion.
Speaking on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM on Monday, Medikal said if Ghanaian musicians would come together, the music industry would reach higher heights and put Ghana on the map.
Medikal told Andy Dosty that aside days when he was broke and couldn’t push his songs, the only challenge facing him currently is that “some of the brothers in the game don’t vibe.”
He continued that, “I feel like if we connect more, we can shoot Ghana’s music higher. It was always hard to be on TV or get your songs on air. Now all I want for musicians is to come closer and unite…”
Medikal, however condemned the idea of rap beefs in the music industry, labelling them as “unhealthy”.
“I think it’s not healthy. No one wants to be at loggerheads with another person. If we can together, we can do good music. Beef isn’t healthy.”
The AMG rapper is currently promoting “The Connect Concert”, which is set to come off at the West Hills Mall this Friday, December 21.
